Attractive Properties was hired to assist an ex-patriot Ikea executive and her husband through the acquisition process for the captioned property. After acquisition clients turned to Attractive Properties for Advise, Permitting and General Contractor services. We also arranged for the installation of an Egress compliant window from right side basement wall so the full remodel of the basement could proceed. We arranged for all public utilities to come to residence and mark utilities prior to the commencement of excavation.
First floor remodeling included widening the entry to the kitchen from adjacent room. We also arranged for the movement of a return air duct so that a set of French doors could be installed from Home Office in the rear of the house to the living room in the front of the house.
Some of the challenges we faced with these clients included: 1) Lack of familiarity with the IRBC resulting in some tense discussions over what could and could not be done regarding Electrical work 2) The necessity of a sewage ejection pump system because of the full bathroom in the basement and the fact that the main sewer pipe leading to street public connection was over 4 feet above floor level in basement.
